What are the key points of D-Link Green Technology?

• Compliance with the IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) standard: This is the first standard in the history of Ethernet to address the dynamic reduction of energy consumption of networked devices.
  The IEEE 802.3 EEE standard defines mechanisms and protocols to reduce the power consumption of network links during periods of low usage by transitioning interfaces to a low-power state without interrupting the network connection.
• Energy Saving by Detecting Connection Quality.
  If there is no connection on a port, for example if no computer is connected to the port or the connected computer is turned off, D-Link Green Technology enters a “sleep mode”, significantly reducing the power consumption of that port.
• Energy Saving by Cable Length: 0-20m, 21-100m.
  D-Link Green Technology detects the length of the connected Ethernet cable and adjusts power consumption accordingly, without reducing performance.
